Optoma HZ39HDR Projector Review
The Optoma HZ39HDR projector is a great way to add a projector to your media room, and it’s very affordable at just over $1,000.
This projector is easy to use and the image focusing is great, making it one of the most user-friendly projectors on the market.
We appreciate that this projector is not only great for watching movies and playing video games but also portable enough to be moved from one room to another.
But, if you’re looking for top-of-the-line picture quality, this may not be the best option for you. However, 1080p resolution will definitely suffice for most people.
The HZ39HDR also has a low input lag (only 8.4 ms in 1080p), which is great for gamers who want to enjoy their games and stream without any lag.
The HZ39HDR Optoma projector is a great purchase for anyone looking to add a quality 1080p picture to their home without any fuss.

Optoma HZ39HDR: Reviews
Nathaniel Bassey
I have been researching projectors for my office for some time. I looked at the BENQ line and also Optoma’s lamp projectors. A week ago, I came across laser technology for projectors.
I was skeptical at first, thinking there was no way I could afford such a product. But then I came across Optoma’s website, found the HZ39HDR model, and saw that it was actually within my budget. After doing some research, I discovered that this type of technology was very popular in Europe. It was also much easier to set up than I thought it would be!
I went to the store shortly after hearing about this product, and I was surprised at how affordable it was given all the features it has. It only took me 30 minutes to set up once I got it home. You can also connect it to your PC via HDMI. The way we work in the office has become increasingly interactive.

The HZ39HDR projector is clear and concise, perfect for Rooms with lots of light. The only issue I have is that the keystone is only on the Y axis, but I’m still investigating this equipment. It could be user error as it frequently is… This projector is an amazing product and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new one.

I had a HD62 projector with 3D capability before this one, and I must say that HZ39HDR is much better. The image colour is more defined and the blacks are deeper. Not only does this product have a faster image latency, but it is also more power efficient and has a quieter fan noise. This projector is supposed to be 10 times more reliable, with a MTBF of 30000 hours on the light source (laser instead of lamp), which can only make anyone happy!
Pros of Optoma HZ39HDR
The HZ39HDR projector model offers the following primary benefits:
- Response Time only 8.4 ms;
- Great for bright rooms;
- High contrast ratio;
- Laser lamp with long maximum lifespan;
- HDR10 and HLG color processing;
- Easy to set up.
Cons of Optoma HZ39HDR
The possible disadvantages of the HZ39HDR projector model include:
- 4K content will appear in standard HD (1080p).

Optoma HZ39HDR: Final words
The Optoma HZ39HDR is a great option for anyone looking for a quality projector at an affordable price.
Key features of the projector include its low Response Time (only 8.4 ms), long lamp life (up to 30000 hours), high contrast ratio (300,000:1), and built-in speaker.
Image (at 1080p) and sound quality are both impressive on the HZ39HDR and it has a variety of ports that allow you to connect different devices.
If you’re in the market for a quality projector for a reasonable price, the Optoma HZ39HDR should be at the top of your list!
