Sony VPL-CWZ10: Reviews
Cori Atkinson ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had recently been assigned the task of installing a Sony VPL-CWZ10 projector in my church. As an experienced technician, I knew it wouldn’t be difficult to set up and sure enough, within just a few minutes the installation was complete. When I turned on the projector for the first time, I was amazed at how bright and vivid the picture was – it looked perfect for our church setting!
The only issue that seemed to arise during setup was with the remote control’s on/off feature. For some reason, no matter how hard I tried or what buttons I pressed, all attempts at turning off the projector failed. However, when other people would come by to try their luck at controlling it, they were able to do so without any problems whatsoever!

We had recently purchased a Sony VPL-CWZ10 projector for our backyard gatherings and it had quickly become the talk of the neighborhood. Everyone wanted to come over to see how well it worked.
The setup process was surprisingly easy. We put up an outdoor screen in our yard, hung some twinkle lights around for extra ambiance, then plugged in the projector – and voila! Our own personal drive-in theater right in our own backyard. The picture quality was amazing, crisp colors that felt like they jumped off the screen! My kids couldn’t believe what they were seeing – they thought this must be what it’s like going to a real movie theater. And I have to agree with them – this experience was just as magical (if not more so)!

Having heard good things about the Sony VPL-CWZ10 projector, my IT department got one installed as soon as they could. We were able to turn on all the lights but still read words and view pictures clearly from anywhere in the classroom. Everyone was thrilled at how great it worked!
The only issue I had with this otherwise perfect addition was its lack of rear-facing IR sensor technology. Since our projector is so close to the wall due to social distancing regulations, we have no choice but to run presentations from behind it –which means no remote control access or ability to blank out screens when needed. Despite this small setback, however, I’m just glad that my school has been able to make use of such an amazing piece of tech during these trying times!
